What will the apprentice be doing?
There will be a mentor who works with a successful candidate on how to deliver extra curricular clubs and PE lessons. A candidate would work in a few schools and be required to assist with the delivery of sessions. Its important all children are enjoying their sessions and developing so it would expected you provide some individual coaching as the senior coach works with the whole group. A candidate would be required to referee matches in a variety of sports
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
The programme will consist of online training, webinars, practical workshops and workplace visits from a tutor.
The qualifications you will achieve will be a level 2 coaching qualification if required and a Level 4 sports coach apprenticeship standard.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Full time position, further training and progression available.
