What will the apprentice be doing?

Daily duties:
  • Complaint investigations.
  • Inspections.
  • Sampling.
  • Provision of customer and business advice.
  • Use of database systems.
  • Service requests.
  • Supporting senior officers in their work.
  • Liasion with internal teams and external bodies including government organisations.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
  • Level 6 (BsC Hons) Environmental Practitioner Degree.
  • Day release at University Centre Weston.
  • Off the job training.
  • Work based learning assessment.
  • Block release in year 1.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Potential for a full time job offer, however this is not guaranteed.

GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C or equivalent) Essential

Things to consider

You must have 3 A Levels grade A - C or 80 UCAS points. It's recommended that the candidate has one A Level in a science based subject. There may be requirements to work outside of normal working hours.
