What will the apprentice be doing?

Silentnight, the UK's largest bed manufacturer, is looking for an IT Infrastructure Degree Apprentice to join their in-house IT team.

You will be part of a small support team that:
  • Manages the day-to-day running of IT operations
  • Provide user support to the business
  • Help deliver technology projects

Silentnight is looking for someone who is passionate about technology and wants to be part of our support team, ensuring that the Silentnight business continues to be the UK's most trusted sleep brand.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Silentnight offer the opportunity to study for the Digital & Technology Solutions BSc (Hons) degree - Level 6 at UCLAN's Burnley Campus.

The course runs over three years and is taught on day release at UCLAN in Burnley, Lancashire.

Training split: 30 hours working/7.5hrs studying

Tuition Fees are paid by funding through Silentnight and the Government via the Apprenticeship Levy, meaning that you as the learner do not pay the standard tuition fee rates.

Things to consider

Applicants must have one of the desired qualifications to be considered for this role. We are looking for candidates with: • A strong interest in digital technology • Confidence in the use of MS Office (especially Word, Excel and PowerPoint) • Experience with PCs and operating systems (e.g. Windows, Linux or MacOS) • Good organisational skills
