About the apprenticeship


Do you feel you have the skills and ability to excel in a sales environment? Do you have the ability to build rapport quickly, listen and understand a client's requirements and excellent negotiation skills? Then you already have some of the attributes we are looking for in our newest recruits.

• Sales and cold calling customers - mostly businesses
• Passing leads onto the team or Account Manager
• Sourcing products that the client is looking for
• Creating quotes for clients
• Processing the order onto our system
• Account management - once established you will have you own clients and accounts.

In addition to the Level 2 qualification we would also offer external training via Teams or Zoom by our partners.
• Cybersecurity training
• Hardware
• Software
• Peripherals
• Backups

It's a very friendly group and everyone will be willing to help. The successful applicants will be placed with the team where they will be mentored by the Account Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking for their first role within sales where they will have the opportunity to progress onto account management.

As an apprenticeship you will be supported to achieve you Customer Service Level 2 qualification by the company and Gower College Swansea who are delivering the qualification.

• A confident, smart, punctual, hard-working individual
• Comfortable with using a pc/laptop office applications like Work and Outlook
• Willingness to learn and work towards a permanent role after the apprenticeship

Who can apply?

To be eligible to apply you:

  • will be at least 16 years of age at the time of making your application
  • will not be in full-time education (you can apply while still attending school/college/university but will have finished or intend to finish your studies by the time your apprenticeship starts)
  • will need to meet the Civil Service Nationality requirements to apply.

ALS eligibility

Please note that ALS our training providers have their own eligibility in order to provide the funding required to undertake an apprenticeship. You may not be eligible to apply if:

  • you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in ICT, Software, Web and Telecoms or a similar subject
  • you already hold a qualification at Level 3 or above in Business Administration, Customer Service or a similar subject

What are the benefits?  

How much will I be paid?

You will earn £19,240 a year while training. When you pass your apprenticeship you can apply for a permanent job at the Welsh Government. Within 2 years of starting your apprenticeship you could be earning £22,500. 

You will get 31 days holidays as well as 10 public and privilege days. We offer flexible working arrangements to help you get the right work/life balance. You will also be eligible for membership of the Civil Service Pension Scheme
