What will the apprentice be doing?
Duties will include:
Support finance department across all functions as needed (accounts payable, accounts receivable, income audit and F&B cost control).
Work on one off ad hoc projects as and when required..
Work closely with Finance Supervisor and Assistant Director of Finance to provide ongoing support.
Support nominated departments at month end with accrual checks and processing, P&L corrections, information requests and any other support as assigned by Assistant Director of Finance/Finance Supervisor.
Follow Marriott International and Hotel Local policies, procedures, and audit programs.
Maintain appropriate standards of conduct, dress/uniforms, and hygiene.
Communicate with all departmental managers and associates in professional and supportive manner.
Maintain a positive attitude to always work duties and colleagues.
Perform other duties as assigned to meet business needs.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Accounting And Taxation Professional Apprenticeship Level 7 - you will be studying with the ACCA or CIMA qualification. CIMA If you're looking to develop your accountancy skills to lead finance departments or provide management accounting consultancy, CIMA is your ticket. CIMA is split into Certificate, a standalone 'beginner' qualification, and Professional, which is split into three levels: Operational, Management, and Strategic. The Certificate in Business Accounting is your starting point if you're new to accountancy. You'll learn the fundamentals of business economics, financial accounting, management accounting, and ethical considerations of commercial activity.
