What will the apprentice be doing?
As anOperations Support Apprentice, you will work within the Telensa Customer Operations Team where we support our Customer's connected streetlighting networks. This involves resolving technical issues, completing system health checks, configuring new customer networks, and analysing of performance logs all whilst maintaining the high level of customer satisfaction we are known for.
As part of your apprenticeship, you will spend dedicated time working between technical and sales teams to gather a holistic view of the company's strategy and processes. We offer degree apprenticeships - so why not study for a degree whilst being paid.

Level 6 Digital and technology solutions degree apprenticeship delivered by Anglia Ruskin, which includes BSc (Hons) in Digital & Technology Solutions. As part of the programme our apprentices are required to spend 1 day at University (virtually or within a class room setting).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
After successful completion of your 3-year apprenticeship you will be offered a permanent role at Telensa having successfully demonstrated the appropriate skills and behaviour for effective performance. There are also opportunities to continue learning to gain further external qualifications in addition to the many learning opportunities within Telensa and Signify.

- Work closely with other internal stakeholders, such as the sales, manufacturing and development teams, to understand customer requirements and ensure the design brief is achieved both technically and commercially
- Develop an understanding of design, configuration, deployment, and support of all Telensa network infrastructure
- 1st line Operations support, which may include connecting users to the network using VPN
- Configuring network devices, switches, and routers. Working with router GUIs to configure specific network details
- Working on firewalls and router configuration and Wi-Fi security
