What will the apprentice be doing?

The role will include extensive on the job training and shadowing, with an introduction to a wide spectrum of tasks necessary to operate a rental business. As the apprentice gains knowledge of the business throughout the programme responsibilities will be introduced.

Specific tasks include the following:
  • Managing the vehicle and refrigeration maintenance
  • Responsibility for the hire and off hire of vehicles process
  • Accounting tasks and credit control management
  • Sales and marketing support role
  • Operational decision making process
  • Leadership and management of staff
  • Project management
  • Budgeting
  • Input into the company strategic direction and decision making

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
  • You will study for a Chartered Manager Degree (which results in a BA (Hons) Degree in Management Practice, CMI Level 5 Diploma and Chartered Manager Status professional recognition)
  • 20% of the apprentice time will be focused on study and work-based learning. This will include 25 study days at Teesside University International Business School. The programme is 42 months commencing January 2023 and the candidate upon successful completion will gain an Honours Degree

  • Management opportunities will be available for the right candidate on successful completion of the programme

Things to consider

Applicants with work experience but without the required Level 3 qualifications will be considered as well as those already with a non business degree qualification.
