Job Description:

AVL are searching for aspiring financial analysts to join their infrastructure and energy modelling team. You will be involved in supporting with the valuations of multi-billion pound funds and providing general analyst support to the growing team.

During the program, you will receive training from industry experts across financial modelling and financial analysis.

You will learn the skills to produce valuation reports for infrastructure assets and will be given responsibility to update financial models, perform reconciliations and write the asset reports.

Further to undertaking valuations, you may support clients and the senior team with asset acquisitions and sales, creating investment cases with clear underlying assumptions which the asset management team will use as their targets,

The role and responsibilities will continue to grow as you excel and you will be provided with the support required to take the next step.

Training Provided:

Level 3:
As an Accountancy Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Assistant Accountant Apprenticeship at Level 3. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the full AAT Level 3 qualification. The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.

Level 4:

As an Accounting Apprentice with BPP, you will complete the Professional Accountancy Taxation Level 4 Higher Apprenticeship. Within the apprenticeship you will undertake the AAT certificate level professional qualification. The apprenticeship will be completed at a BPP centre or via the Online Classroom platform, in addition to at the workplace.

Duration:

Apprenticeship: 18 months Job: Permanent

Qualifications Required:

  • A minimum of 5 GCSE's at grade C/4 or above, to include English, plus Maths at a grade 7 or above
  • A Level/BTec Maths or other numerical subject (such as finance) at grade B or above

    To join the Level 4 programme, you need to have completed AAT Level 3 already

Future Prospects:

The role is ever expanding and it is expected that the candidate will have the drive to develop their skill set to enhance both the tasks required of them and also the responsibilities assigned to them.

Analysts will be put on a development pathway to grow with the business. Following completion of AAT and subject to on the job and AAT performance, an opportunity will arise to study for CIMA.

You will be eligible for both regular pay reviews and annual bonuses to be provided based on merit.
