Industrial Operations: Supply Chain & Logistics
Supply Chain & Logistics sits within our new Industrial Operations function. Our Industrial Operations function incorporates all teams across manufacturing, purchasing and supply chain and consolidates accountability for the complete ecosystem of how we produce our vehicles, in one place.
The Supply Chain & Logistics function enables our customer-centric, end-to-end supply chain to operate effectively – delivering our current and next generation of modern luxury vehicles when and where we need them.
Producing the right things in the right places at the right times sounds simple. But co-ordinating the arrival of millions of parts from all over the world and getting our products to more than 140 markets requires exceptional skill. That’s why our graduate programme exists to develop a new generation of talent with the ability to deliver the sustainable, resilient and efficient global supply chains of the future.
On the Industrial Operations: Supply Chain Graduate Programme you could work in one of the following departments: Supply Chain Operations and Logistics or Commercial Supply Chain. You will be allocated to a department based on personal preferences and business need.
Supply Chain Operations & Logistics Graduates
Supply chain operations are at the core of what we do. From production planning to finished vehicle delivery, your ability to get the best performance from our suppliers and logistics providers will ensure our operations are optimised and proceed to plan. In this team you could work in the following areas:
New Product & Launch:
New vehicle and engine programmes are the future of the business. Building expertise in managing complex projects, you will define objectives, timing and budgets to take concepts from the desktop through to industrialisation. In this team you could work in the following areas:
Supply Chain Planning:
Supply chain planning plays a critical role in maximising Jaguar Land Rover’s new vehicle sales revenue. From capacity planning to vehicle scheduling, this team owns and orchestrates our Sales & Operations Execution (S&OE) and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) processes.
At the end of the programme, the experience you gain will provide the springboard for a future career that could lead to roles in any of our supply chain teams. With ongoing support from experts at the pinnacle of their profession and the opportunity to gain new skills through varying placements, you’ll help to ensure that the chain delivers a category-defining collection of innovative vehicles that capture the imaginations of the world’s most discerning drivers.
Supply Chain Strategy:
The supply chain strategy team aims to create efficient, responsible and resilient end-to-end supply chain networks for the future. Working closely with cross-functional stakeholders, we examine critical value chains and commodities in depth against four key criteria: sustainability, risk and resilience, cost and lead-times. We also maintain centres of excellence for the first two criteria, which provide corporate leadership and educate and support key decision-makers across the business to reduce our environmental impact and supply chain exposure.
The graduate programme is centred around our commercialisation strategy: we are going through a huge transformation to drive simplicity, growth and our go-to-market strategy and we need you to bring strong judgement, analytical thinking and an eye for optimisation to make this happen.

Commercial Supply Chain Graduates
We have been transforming our global commercial operations as part of our ongoing commitment to be the creator of the world’s most distinct luxury vehicles – delivering a more personalised customer experience with creativity and technology at its core.
You can expect to be challenged every day as you develop a rigorous and commercially focused approach to plan our vehicles and parts for our customers. Enjoying ongoing support from industry-leading experts and continual learning opportunities, you’ll tackle a steep learning curve within one of the following areas:
In Global Inventory and Order Management, you will ensure smooth flows of goods, implement projects and processes to improve stock turnaround and parts availability, and support retailers with urgent requirements.
In Material Supply, you will work with purchasing colleagues and suppliers to ensure that stock is delivered on time and to agreed quality standards. At the same time, you will implement projects and processes to reduce the time customers are off the road.
In Global Operations, you will manage third-party suppliers delivering freight and warehousing services to meet our customer and contractual requirements. Equally importantly, you will play a key role in planning our future network.
Join the Transformation Office and you will drive business change programmes and work with our IT providers on systems and improvements.
In Range, you will determine the parts assortment and provide retailers with support for technical queries.
As a Volume Forecasting Analyst you will develop short-to-long-term demand forecasts that reflect the latest customer insights and trends as well as our vehicle programme cycle plan.
You will need to hold or be on track to achieve at least a 2.2 degree in supply chain, logistics, operations management, engineering or mathematics. We will also consider business studies or project management degrees that include a substantial quantitative element.
You will have a real passion for problem solving and the curiosity to understand business challenges and deliver innovative solutions. You will also have strong numerical and interpersonal skills and the confidence to champion new initiatives.
Rewards and benefits
We haven’t yet confirmed our 2023 graduate programme salary, but in 2022 this was £29,000. You’ll also receive a £2,000 joining bonus to welcome you to Jaguar Land Rover, plus a generous holiday allowance, a discounted car purchase and lease scheme for you and your family, an excellent pension scheme and access to a wide range of deals and discounts from retailers and sports clubs.
