Employer Description

A position has arisen within a small property company specializing in land, for a full-time Administrator Apprentice.

Travel Information: The office is located in Eastry, accessed by bus routes 81/ 81A/ 81B from Deal, Dover & Sandwich. Free public car parking is available.

Description of Vacancy

Working within a small team based in East Kent, the successful applicant will support senior staff with various office based tasks.

The role will include supporting the directors and senior staff in their roles of acquiring, enhancing and selling land throughout England and Wales by assisting with the research, preparation of reports, advertising and marketing, preparation of legal documents and general office administrative tasks.

Wage

£260 per week

£6.50 p/h

Hours

Monday to Friday 9AM – 5PM

37.5 working hours per week

30 minutes paid lunch break

20% paid time during working hours is given to complete training, referred to as “Off the Job Training”

Skills Required

  • A good working knowledge of Word, Excel and Outlook are essential
  • Excellent telephone manner

Qualifications Required

GCSE Level 9 - 4 (or  Grade A - C) in English and Maths. Or equivalent qualifications in these subjects.

Training Provided

On the job training with the employer whilst working towards the Apprenticeship Standard – Business administrators have a highly transferable set of knowledge, skills and behaviours that can be applied in all sectors. This includes small and large businesses alike; from the public sector, private sector and charitable sector. The role may involve working independently or as part of a team and will involve developing, implementing, maintaining and improving administrative services. Business administrators develop key skills and behaviours to support their own progression towards management responsibilities.

Regular work based assessments/observations carried out by Kent Training & Apprenticeships Tutor Assessor, to determine competency and meet with Awarding Body standards.
