Babington, a leading provider of apprenticeships, professional training courses and learning solutions are supporting our client to find there next apprentice for their analyst team within their software division based in Barnsley.

The role will entail supporting customers with IT and general queries via telephone, email and chat portals. You will also be supported to complete a Customer Service Specialist Level 3 qualification alongside your role.

What will the apprentice be doing?

  • Ensure all incoming incidents and queries are responded to promptly whilst maintaining a confident and professional approach.
  • Identify customer needs and assess their requirements.
  • Identify and agree with customers on next steps and support setting correct customer expectations.   
  • Ensure sufficient information is gathered and recorded on systems.
  • Take initial responsibility of the support log and attempt to provide a solution to customers using personal knowledge and available tools.
  • Ensuring customers are kept informed on progress of any open logs for which you have responsibility.
  •  Communicate escalations to customers.
  • Undertake training as deemed appropriate to the post held.
  • Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of supported applications and developments.
  • Work individually and as part of a team towards the aims and objectives of the company as a whole.
  • Administrative tasks.
  • Maintain ongoing working co-operation with managers and staff within the department and the wider workplace.

Annual wage: £18,000

Working hours: Monday - Friday - core shifts around the hours of 7am-6pm.

With a rota of weekend working Saturdays 8.30am-1pm or Sundays 9am – 1pm.

Total hours per week: 40 hours a week

Expected duration:15 Months
