What will the apprentice be doing?

Responsibilities will vary dependent on each rotation and will increase and evolve as you progress through the programme. They may include:
  • Assisting lawyers with cases with close supervision
  • Communication with clients and attending client meetings
  • Drafting correspondence and reports
  • Answering phones and preparing files
  • Drafting invoices
  • Attending training sessions, both departmental and those put on by our in-house Academy

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
  • Throughout the six years you will be working for four days per week and spend one day studying with The University of Law
  • Tuition will be through a mixture of virtual webinars and on-campus seminars (when government guidelines permit)
  • By the end of the 6 year programme you will have gained a law degree (LLB) and completed both Solicitors Qualifying Exams (SQE)

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
  • By the end of your apprenticeship, subject to satisfactory character and suitability, you will be a fully qualified solicitor and registered with the Solicitors Regulatory Authority (SRA)
  • You will then be invited to apply and interview for a permanent Associate Solicitor role at Mishcon de Reya in your preferred practice area
