Job summary

The key functions of this job are to establish, maintain and facilitate the efficient administration of education, development and related activities.

The Education and Development team provide a comprehensive, customer orientated, quality driven service to all users of Training Administration and Conference Centres facilities across the Trust sites. The department hosts training courses, exhibitions, workshops, local award ceremonies, learning resource centres and meeting spaces for use by the whole Trust.

Main duties of the job

The Conference Centre Team provides a comprehensive, customer orientated, quality driven service to all users of the Conference Centres at both the University Hospital Lewisham and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Woolwich. We host training courses, exhibitions, workshops, local award ceremonies, learning resource centres and meeting spaces for use by the whole Trust.

  • To contribute to the seamless provision of a customer orientated, flexible, quality driven and responsive department, providing a comprehensive service to all users of the service.
  • To assist with the preparation of rooms for events/meetings i.e. room set-up/table layout/ set out/remove catering provisions and/or liaise with catering providers for provision of refreshments to clients as required.
  • The opening/closing of the service area as required, keeping due regard to local security and safe storage of equipment protocols and procedures.
  • Assist with training administration tasks including the preparation of documentation, such as, training materials, reports, presentations, publicity, as required.
  • Ensure AV equipment is fit for purpose each day. Where equipment is faulty report malfunctioning AV equipment to line manager; service contracts or to Trust IT department, as appropriate.

    • GCSE Grade C in English and Maths or NVQ Level 2 or equivalent.
