Internal Communications & Employee Engagement Apprentice at Pension Insurance Corporation



As an Internal Communications and Employee Engagement Apprentice, you will provide an important contribution by supporting your team in delivering PIC's purpose. This role is a fantastic opportunity for you to gain practical experience in Financial Services!


Key Responsibilities

As an Internal Comms and Employee Engagement Apprentice, you will predominantly support the Internal Communications and Employee Engagement teams and may support the wider HR team as required. General duties are likely to include:


  • Provide administrative support to the Internal Communication and Employee Engagement team
  • Supporting the management of internal events, including scheduling, managing delegate bookings, managing logistics, collating feedback, and producing reports
  • Creating content and maintaining news on the company intranet (Huddle), and providing reports on engagement of content
  • Keeping schedule up-to-date for communication activity and internal events
  • Manage supplier onboarding and Know Your Customers (KYCs) checks
  • Carrying out research to support colleagues with projects, and then summarising and presenting your findings
  • Organising meetings, creating agendas, and producing minutes
  • To undertake delegated tasks and projects as required


Entry Requirements

You’ll need to attend an online Zoom screening interview with our Talent Team (don’t worry, we’re a friendly bunch!) and pass initial assessments in Maths and English.


Skills Required

  • Confident with MS Office Applications, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Good literacy and numeracy skills
  • The ability to deal with confidential information and maintain confidentiality is essential
  • Good accuracy and attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Good organisational skills
  • Highly motivated and keen to learn
  • Positive attitude
  • Reliable
