You'll witness, control and apply extreme climatic and mechanical environments, from simulating the extreme cold of artic conditions to the incredible temperatures induced by supersonic flight. From combined complex low pressure, high humidity and low temperature environments to multiple system 3D vibration simulation.

You'll work in the following areas during your apprenticeship:
  • Mechanical and Climatic Test
  • Structural test
  • Facility maintenance

  • Project control

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Our Product design and development engineer (degree) apprenticeship within the Environmental Engineering Function, is a 4 year course where you will study towards a fully funded Bachelor's degree in Product design and development engineering. You will study for this qualification on a minimum of one day release per week, at the University of Hertfordshire, Hatfield.

Study on this programme will be a blend of virtual and face to face.
