What will the apprentice be doing?
  • Apply the principles of and undertake Fire Risk Assessments across our homes.
  • Support the effective delivery of contracted fire prevention / safety equipment installation and maintenance services - ensuring delivery is in-line with contractual and regulatory requirements.
  • Identify failings and make recommendations for improvements - engaging with internal and external stakeholders to improve fire safety awareness and practices.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Whilst you study for a BSc (Hons) Fire Safety Engineering degree at Birmingham City University (one day per week), we'll provide you with a broad range of hands-on opportunities to put your learning into practice - allowing you to gain real-world experience. Having benefitted from a broad range of support, including guidance from seasoned industry professionals and our senior leadership team, your five-year apprenticeship will culminate in you gaining sector leading experience, a recognised degree, and membership of the Institute of Fire Engineers - the industry gold standard for fire engineering professionals.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
