Cyber Security Engineer Degree Apprenticeship

What will the apprentice be doing?

• Research, diagnose and resolve any IT security incidents proactively and reactively
• Perform vulnerability scans/penetration testing on networks, servers, systems and applications
• Conduct technical security audits and perform technical risk assessments to identify and implement measures to continually improve our cybersecurity provision

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Whilst you study for a BSc (Hons) Digital & Technology degree at Aston University (one day per week), we'll provide you with a broad range of hands-on opportunities to put your learning into practice - allowing you to gain real-world experience.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

Having benefitted from a broad range of support, including guidance from seasoned industry professionals and our senior leadership team, your five-year apprenticeship will culminate in you gaining sector leading experience, a recognised degree, and further opportunities to grow your Cyber Security and technology skillset through ongoing investment in your professional development.
