What will the apprentice be doing?
  • Working under a team leader for installation and maintenance of leading brands of Point-to-Point and Point-to-Multipoint radio equipment
  • Assist in 'Line of sight surveys'
  • Developing skills to be able to manage radio equipment configuration
  • Rigging,mounting steelwork, cabling, antennae, active RF equipment ODU's etc
  • Routine test and inspection
  • Working under a team leader for fault finding installations and implementing fault resolution

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

Estio apprenticeship training programmes are delivered virtually by our fully qualified and industry experienced training team. Using their expert knowledge, we've purposefully built our programmes around the real-world use of modern technology, so that the skills we create can be directly applied in the workplace.

Throughout the apprenticeship learners receive coaching, help and guidance from a dedicated team who are there to ensure they get the most from their work experience.

Successful completion of this apprenticeship gives you an accredited Level 4 Network Engineer, with training in how to:
  • Install, configure and test network components, including optimisation and maintenance
  • Investigate, identify and resolve technical performance issues in networks
  • Apply the appropriate tools and techniques when securely operating and testing Networks
  • Acquire and anaylse network performance data to monitor network activity

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

The role offers long term security and the opportunity to progress into a permanent position.

Things to consider

Having a driving license would be advantageous to be able to get to work as early starts are often necessary with us conducting work nationwide. Being physically fit is Important as you will be trained in rescue techniques.
