Rope Green Farm Day Nursery, in Crewe are looking for an Apprentice to join their team!

We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to take part in a level 2 Early Years Practitioner Apprenticeship with us. This is a fantastic opportunity to start your career with the prospect to gain further responsibility and possible promotion once qualified.

Your role will include:

•Working with children between the ages of 6 weeks to 5 years, organising activities, being pro-active with the help and care carried out within the early years teaching sector.

•Assisting and meeting the personal/emotional needs of individual children – Changing nappies, feeding, caring and establishing a relationship with children.

•Work (under supervision) providing all aspects of care/support to children, ensuring they take part with day- to- day learning and play activities.

•Ensure that the setting is safe, clean and well presented, to be flexible within working practices of the nursery and be prepared to help where needed, especially in other rooms and to undertake any other duties as specified by a senior member of staff.

To become an apprentice, you must:

  • be 16 or over
  • not already be in full-time education

 You can start an apprenticeship whether you’re starting your career, want a change or you're upskilling in your current job. You can have a previous qualification like a degree and still start an apprenticeship.

As an apprentice you’ll:

  • have regular one to one sessions with a dedicated trainer either remotely or through visits to your workplace
  • learn and train for a specific job
  • get paid and receive holiday leave 
  • get hands-on experience in a real job
  • study for at least 20% of your working hours
  • complete assessments during and at the end of your apprenticeship
  • be on a career path with lots of future potential

What is an apprenticeship?

An apprenticeship is a real job where you learn, gain experience and get paid. You’re an employee with a contract of employment and holiday leave. By the end of an apprenticeship, you'll have the right skills and knowledge needed for your chosen career.

As an apprentice you will be included on either a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner or Level 3 Early Years Educator Apprenticeship and first aid.
