Job Details
Our Degree Apprenticeships are new to HSBC, and offer an alternative to the full-time university route. You will join on a permanent contract consisting of a four and half-year structured programme which includes a series of different rotations across multiple areas of your business line, all whilst working towards an externally recognised Degree qualification via one of our University partners.
Throughout your programme you will receive a wealth of support and guidance to ensure you have the platform to accelerate your career within the HSBC Group. This includes a dedicated mentor, ongoing learning and development opportunities via a mixture of one-to-one tuition in both the classroom and workplace, on-demand resources, dedicated study days and even the possibility of independent study with residential stays at the university delivering your qualification.
All apprentices receive a highly competitive salary and benefits, and will be supported at the end of the four and half-year programme to secure a permanent destination role within HSBC.
To be considered for a Degree Apprenticeship you will:
- Be driven and committed to self-development, with a desire to pursue a career with HSBC
- Be organised, self-motivated, and accountable with an ability to set and achieve targets
- Have strong interpersonal skills
- Share our organisational values
You will have obtained at least 5 GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above including Maths and English or equivalent. You will have obtained at least 96 UCAS points in accordance with UCAS tariff changes across your top three A-Levels or equivalent, excluding General Studies (AS Levels). You will have clear communication skills, both written and verbal; a desire to learn and work at pace with changing priorities. You must be an external applicant, not already working for HSBC or any subsidiary of HSBC. You have not obtained a financial services related degree or equivalent qualification and not currently studying towards any government funded qualification. You must be able to commit to a full time, 54-month programme of 35 hours a week. Apprentices need to have been a resident in the UK for the last 3 consecutive years and are required to have a continued right to work in the UK for the duration of the programme (54-month). Please note that you can only make one application each recruitment cycle. Candidates should make an informed decision before applying by reviewing the different business areas and location sections on our website.
