Job Description:

 Your role will be varied and there will be support and opportunities to learn and develop your skills and experience.

You will be learning from industry leading experts in a friendly and committed working environment and get involved in a variety of tasks such as:

 

  • Conduct Company, Land Registry & person trace searches in line with the Knowledge & Research Services enquiry handling procedure;
  • Assist with Companies House and Land Registry search costs allocation;
  • Assist with disbursement and invoice related finance queries to the K&RS team;
  • Liaise with legal advisors and wider colleagues to discuss appropriate enquiry handling and delivery;
  • Ordering and processing of both new materials and annual renewals when required;
  • Updating and maintenance of the library management system, Knowall;
  • Team administration (to include arranging meetings, travel etc);
  • Journals circulation and maintenance of lists as appropriate;
  • Information resource housekeeping including Manchester Law Library loans;
  • Ensure at all times that general administration duties are kept up to date are in line with the operational standards e.g. filing/ archiving etc;
  • Support, as required to Head of Knowledge Services and Information Manger, re ISO accreditation, team meetings, records housekeeping etc.

 Training Provided:

 

As a Business Administration Apprentice with BPP, you will undertake the Business Administrator Level 3 Advanced Apprenticeship.

The apprenticeship will be delivered through a blend of live online learning, pre-recorded lectures and workplace support.

 

Qualification Requirements:

 Five GCSEs including Maths and English qualifications at grade C (or 4) or above.

  • Ability to demonstrate strong critical thinking, problem solving and analytical skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, able to deal effectively with queries and build productive working relationships with internal and external parties at all levels.
  • Solid organisational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Excel and PowerPoint
  • Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all areas of work.
  • Ability to deliver practical solutions in a demanding high-pressure environment
  • Ability to take personal responsibility for workflow.
