What will the apprentice be doing?
· Working collaboratively with colleagues within the Employment Team and the Mental Health Teams
· Managing a case load and supporting participants in building their confidence and self-esteem.
· Assisting with job searching, helping individuals to apply for jobs and support them with preparing for interviews
· Interacting with service users with mental health conditions.
· Sourcing and securing suitable job opportunities for the participants.
· Following and understanding the Individual Placement and Support Process (a rapid job search method of place and train)
· Negotiating with employers on the participant's behalf.
· Negotiating reasonable adjustments in the workplace and supporting employers to create suitable job opportunities
· Keeping accurate records through the use of an electronic recording system and relevant written documentation.
· Safeguarding your service users from abuse and neglect and adhering to the Government's PREVENT strategy which aims to protect vulnerable people from radicalism and/or extremism.

The Gatehouse, Fieldhouse Industrial Estate, Fieldhouse Road, Rochdale OL12 0AA
And
Humphrey House, 4 Angouleme Way, BL9 0EQ
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Employability Practitioner Level 4 Apprenticeship.
Training Provider:
· Ixion Holdings will provide the Apprenticeship Standard.
· Ixion Holdings will complete functional skills where necessary.
· Ixion Holdings will ensure Health & Safety, British Values and Equality & Diversity is embedded throughout the course.
Employer:
· Person centred approaches

· Safeguarding adults and children
· Mental capacity act and depravation of liberty
· First aid
· Autism
· GDPR
· Infection control
· Positive behaviour support
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
The opportunity to work permanently within our established Employment Team, should a vacancy arise.

Qualifications
GCSE or equivalent English (Grade 4/C or above) Essential

Things to consider
Access to a car and a full driving license is essential due to travel between the locations. Experience of Mental Health issues is not required, but a knowledge of and an interest in Mental Health is.
