Job summary

This role is being developed to support back office functions at our Practice.

This is a great opportunity for someone who is interested in a career working for the NHS in General practice.

Main duties of the job

Apprentice Information Officer:
  • During your appointment you will be trained and supported to manage Patient recall systems for a number of Chronic Conditions.
  • You will be trained in the scanning and filing of all patient documentation that comes into the Practice via several different avenues.
  • You will be trained in the management of patient workflow especially in Patient registration and deduction.
  • The successful candidate will understand the importance of confidentiality and will be aware of the importance of keeping concise records.
  • The candidate needs a positive outlook to employment as the work can be challenging.
  • You will be well supported during your Apprenticeship with the Practice.
  • This is a new role that we are currently developing and a fantastic opportunity for someone who would like a career with the NHS.
  • The role would suit a candidate who is familiar with using a variety of different IT programmes.

We work from a purpose built premises, in the centre of Kidderminster, providing General Medical Services to a patient population of 14,500. We have a dispensing branch in the village of Cookley.
