About the apprenticeship
Duties
Carrying out planned activities under the direct guidance of the Manager/Playgroup Assistants. This may include activities such as cooking, crafts, stories, singing, messy play etc.
Being a member of the team providing high quality childcare provision.
Ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children in a safe learning environment inside and outside, including following Playgroups hygiene and health and safety procedures.
Supporting with the daily routine of the Playgroup, including setting up for the day and tidying/cleaning at the end of each session.
Supporting and guiding the children during free play and interacting with them throughout the day.
Additional information
A fantastic opportunity to work within a small team of five staff in a sixteen place Playgroup. The successful applicant will train 3 / 4 days per week under the guidance of four qualified members of staff and be mentored by the Manager.
Hanmer is a rural and unique setting which provides quality childcare for children aged 2-4 years.
