The video and photography team are responsible for creating, managing and project managing a variety of dynamic content for external facing social media channels, internal employee engagement channels, work winning projects and events, across the global business.
Being part of the Video and Photography team will require you to continuously look at finding innovative ways to tell stories and engage and captivate audiences, through video and photography.
You will work closely with the in-house video and photography team to develop storyboards, scripts and creative ideas, while getting practical hands-on experience taking photos and filming, in offices and projects across London.
As a Video and Photography Assistant you will be learning alongside the Video and Photography team in how to create high-impact creative content for internal and external audiences, how to manage stakeholders and learn how to project manage from end to end.
Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
Capturing regular video and photography using in-house equipment to build a larger bank of high-quality content for Marketing collateral
Working with the social media team to generate bespoke short form video and photography content to help grow engagement on all external channels
Support in the management, uploading, and editing of video and photography content on the Mace Image Library, ensuring content is searchable and meta data is in line with the wider work winning content strategy
Working closely Engine business partners and offer support in developing creative ideas for internal and external campaigns
Attending video and photoshoots, assisting external production teams and photographers while working with the video and photography team to ensure shoots operate efficiently and effectively
Being a guardian of Mace’s YouTube and Vimeo channels, utilising their full functionality and helping to drive engagement and growing their subscriber base
This role will be based at our head office in Moorgate and the start date for this programme is September 2023.
Professional qualifications and membership
On this programme you’ll work towards completing a Level 3 Content Creator apprenticeship. We’ll also support you in gaining professional membership of the British Institute of Professional Photography (BIPP) or the Institute of Videography (IOV).

You’ll also need at least five GCSEs (or equivalent) at grade 4/C or above, including Maths and English, as well at least 96 UCAS points.
