Things to consider
This role is suitable for University Graduates looking to embark upon their first Accountancy role. As much of the work will be based either in the office or out at client premises', ideally the candidate will have a full UK driving licence and own vehicle
You will train with the Audit Department, working on completing external client audits as part of a supportive and nurturing team. Work involves:
- Training 'on the job' within a thriving team of Accountancy professionals and with other Apprentices at various levels
- Completing audit work for the firm's clients initially by working on the bank, debtors and profit and loss sections of the audit
- Progression on to working on fixed assets, creditors and payroll as experience increases
- Involved in audits of businesses with turnover ranging from £3 million to £40 million across a diverse selection of industries from manufacturing to professional services
- This will be alongside studying towards a professional Accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA). This qualification will likely be studied as part of a L7 Apprenticeship
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Study as part of a L7 Apprenticeship
- Study towards a professional accountancy qualification (ACA or ACCA) via a Training Agreement
- Train in the workplace 'on the job' whilst studying one day per week (or block study) at College
- Nationally recognised award-winning Leeds-based Training Providers (Leeds City Centre based, a short walk from the Train Station)
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
- Those studying with us under Apprenticeship are likely to continue in their role beyond becoming qualified and we offer excellent structured routes for progression within the team
