About the apprenticeship
Duties will include learning the skills and methods needed to complete your electrical apprenticeship. Involvement with servicing and installation, to eventual inspection and testing. You will have a responsibility to adhere to and uphold health & safety obligations at all times, being aware of potential risks and acting in a sensible manner. Whilst in full-time employment you will undertake the following qualifications:
NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance and Installation
VRQ Diploma in Engineering Technology
Essential Skills in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy
Before applying for this position please ensure you are able to travel to and from the place of employment in Bridgend and to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a week. You will be employed full-time as an Apprentice Electrical Engineer by this company based in Bridgend. You will be enrolled onto a level 2 foundation apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.
Willing to learn.
Previous experience either as study or a hobby desirable but not essential.
Punctual and reliable.
Able to take on instruction.
Have a real passion for the industry and desire to qualify.
Able to work with others as a part of a communicative team.
Must be prepared to travel to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a week for mandatory off-the-job training.
Have a real passion for the trade.
GCSE in Maths at grade C or above.
