What it’s like being a Lab Technician

In this role, you’ll be a key player in the day-to-day production testing of industrial lubricants. You will be responsible for the efficient analysis of customer-based enquiry samples that will include the testing of routine and customer complaints, and the preparation of samples to be supplied to the customer either direct or through customer service managers.

Your goal will be to learn how to analyse samples to ensure compliance and determine their suitability for recovery.
A typical day consists of:

  • Working closely with production management and production staff to ensure the smooth running of the site Being responsible for the analysis of incoming bulk oils to ensure suitability to process through the plant. Keeping accurate records on waste material arriving onsite Assist with running of all operational and other sampling requirements
