You’ll be part of the Restart Team, helping individuals who have been out of work for 9+ months find employment. You will be assisting with workshops, job advertisements and searches, as well as administration and communication tasks. Job responsibilities:

Being part of a friendly and supportive team, you will be trained for a variety of database administration and customer and employer contact activities as detailed below:

  • Assisting participants with general queries via telephone & in-person
  • Setting initial action plans & booking relevant appointments for new participants
  • Ensure all relevant paperwork is accurately provided by participants, e.g. CV, right-to-work ID, etc.
  • Complete discovery meetings
  • Enter participant referrals onto the CMS
  • Send welcome calls & emails
  • Meeting and greeting participants into the office
  • Keep staff & visitor attendance logs fully completed
  • Keep CRM up to date with comments and outcomes of participant meetings
  • Ensure the filing of appropriate documents and any required daily paperwork, e.g. discovery paperwork, invoices etc.
  • Handling petty cash for day-to-day use
  • Complete/send any post or office paperwork as needed
  • Order and maintain stock of important paperwork and stationery
  • Taking meeting minutes
  • Upload jobs, workshops, advertisements, etc. onto notice boards
  • Follow up on potential job opportunities for participants
  • Assist with job search groups and workshops as needed.

Business Administrator training:

During this advanced apprenticeship, you will learn a vast range of knowledge, skills and behaviours, covering topics such as:

  • Project management
  • Systems & processes
  • Business structures and so much more.

You will undertake the ground-breaking Professional Apprenticeships Business Administrator Level 3 qualification. Professional Apprenticeships hold the title of Bristol and Bath Apprenticeship Training Provider of the Year for 2021. We also boast the highest Ofsted rating, which only a select few training providers in the region have.

The programme is designed to mould you into a high-level, all-rounded business professional. You will learn in detail about:

Desired skills:

  • 1 year’s customer service experience, both on the phone and face-to-face
  • 1 year’s experience in data entry and CRM software use (desired and not essential. Will be taught)
  • Advanced knowledge of Excel and Microsoft Word (desired and not essential. Will be taught)


  • 5 GCSEs grades A*-C/9-4 or equivalent (including English Language and Maths)
