About the apprenticeship
Duties will include learning how to perform maintenance and servicing on light vehicles. You will have involvement with the maintenance, repair and replacement of all manner of vehicle components. Other duties will be undertaken as appropriate e.g. maintaining a clean and tidy work area in line with health & safety working practices, general housekeeping and dealing with customers as required. Whilst in full-time employment you will undertake the following qualifications:
VCQ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Competence (7270 series)
VRQ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles (7290 series)
Essential Skills in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy
Before applying for this position please ensure you are able to travel to and from the place of employment in Pontyclun and to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a week. You will be employed full-time as an apprentice by this company based in Pontyclun. You will be enrolled onto a level 2 foundation apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance.
Must be punctual.
Have a true passion for the industry and desire to qualify.
Reliable and trustworthy.
Able to work as part of a team.
Previous experience either as a hobby or study is an advantage.
Be keen to learn and develop new skills.
Must be able to travel to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a week for mandatory off-the-job training.
Ability to drive desirable but not essential.
