What will the apprentice be doing?
The successful candidate will work with experienced buyers to assist them with the day-to-day administrative work such as stock control, stock on order, data Inputs, stock audits, supplier liaison and other administrative tasks.
Suitable candidate will also liaise with other departments of organisation to ensure procedures are followed. This is a great opportunity to learn and is great exposure to local and international trading. Suitable candidate should have right attitude, flexibility, hardworking, team player, have commercial acumen and willingness to learn.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 4 in Commercial procurement and supply (formerly Public sector commercial professional).
Apprentice can train on-site (Head Office- Leyton, Orient Way). All the resources will be provided by the company.
Training can be done one day a week.
Level 2 qualifications in English and maths (GCSE equivalent)
Level 4 Diploma in Procurement & Supply with the Chartered Institute of Procurement & Supply (CIPS).
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
After successful completion of apprenticeship, the candidate can secure the position of Purchase Assistant with opportunities of becoming a Junior Buyer, Senior Buyer and so on.
