About the apprenticeship

Duties

Duties will include learning how to perform maintenance and servicing on cars and bikes. Other duties will be undertaken as appropriate and you will be expected to follow all health and safety rules and regulations e.g. maintaining a clean and tidy work area in line with health & safety working practices. Whilst in full-time employment you will undertake the following qualifications:

VCQ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Competence (7270 series)
VRQ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles (7290 series)
Essential Skills in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy

Additional information

Before applying for this position please ensure you are able to travel to and from the place of employment in Swansea and to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a week. You will be employed full-time as an apprentice by this company based in Swansea. You will be enrolled onto a level 2 foundation apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance.

Must show initiative during downtimes
Be able to travel to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a week for mandatory off-the-job training
Display a mature attitude at all times
Previous experience either as a hobby or formal training is an advantage
