We are seeking to employ and develop a Technical Engineering apprentice. The Technical Engineering Apprenticeships is an Engineering based programme which encompasses the Technical areas of Ricoh UK Products Ltd.

We are seeking to employ and develop a Technical Engineering apprentice.

The Technical Engineering Apprenticeships is an Engineering based programme which encompasses the Technical areas of Ricoh UK Products Ltd. It is aimed at individuals who enjoy engineering activities and embraces both practical and non-practical elements, such as problem solving and project management. Technical apprenticeships with Ricoh UK Products Ltd take 4 years to complete. During this time, apprentices will visit various technical areas of Ricoh, with the third year of the apprenticeship consisting of 2x 6 month placements and the fourth year of the apprenticeship consisting of 1x 12 month placement in departments agreed between the apprentice and the business.

Qualifications required
  • Predicted / Achieved A* - C in 2 A Level subjects or relevant Engineering BTEC, or equivalent qualifications.
  • Achieved A* - C in 5 GCSE subjects (including English, Maths & Science), or equivalent qualifications.
  • Successful completion of EEF entry test
Future prospects Upon completion of the Craft Apprenticeship, we expect successful candidates to be at the level of “Junior Engineer”. Employment at the end of the apprenticeship programme is not guaranteed, as this will depend on successful completion of the programme and business requirements including a suitable role being available at that time.

Things to consider Apprentices will be expected to travel to the EEF Technology Training Centre for the first year of their apprenticeship. Apprentices will be required to attend EEF Monday - Friday (8.00 a.m. - 4.30 p.m. Monday to Thursday and 8.00 a.m. - 12.30 p.m. on a Friday). Travel expenses will be reimbursed by Ricoh. Apprentices will be required to attend EEF on a day release basis for the second and third year of their apprenticeship at Ricoh. EEF will be holding Open Days on Saturday 11th February and Saturday 6th May, 10:00 - 13:30, at their training Centre in Birmingham.
