Employer Description
Kent Bearings is a Bearing & Power Transmission distributor, supplying a whole range of industrial products & services to trade and retail customers. We have 3 depots and an Engineering workshop. Each Depot has a Trade Counter with our own delivery vans & drivers.
Travel Information: There is a bus stop outside our estate with regular bus service. Provision for bicycles in secure indoors bike rack On-site parking available.
Description of vacancy
Work as part of a busy team in a friendly environment. Your role will include general stores and office duties including serving on our Trade counter, providing a great customer experience. We are looking for someone to support our team with customer enquiries.
Some of the duties will include:
- Serving on trade counter
- Checking in goods
- Getting deliveries up
- Keeping stores tidy
- Loading delivery van
- Stock checking
- Answering phones
- Phoning suppliers
- Using purpose-built computer
- Keeping office tidy
Wage
£4.81/hour
£180.38/week
Hours
Monday – Friday
8.30 – 5.00
1hour unpaid lunch break
20% paid time during working hours is given to complete training, referred to as “Off the Job Training”

Training will be given to teach you our products and services provided to our customers
How to communicate and deliver high customer service Telephone/email experience to include placing orders with our suppliers.
Computer input i.e. entering stock, checking stock levels, raising sales invoices to our trade counter customers.
Getting up the days orders for local deliveries or courier collection.
