Lean Graduate Engineer We are an 100 year old industry leading manufacturing company and have a number of roles to include one for a Lean Graduate Engineer to join our manufacturing team based at our Dudley production site. The benefits: - A family business with family values that looks after our employees Salary highly competitive salary, plus annual company bonus Holidays 33 days rising to 38 with years service Free parking Monday and Friday working a 39 per week Health services benefits and life insurance policy, plus 4% contributory pension The successful Lean Graduate Engineer will be able to: - Work alongside the Production Engineer to identify and implement cost saving initiatives across the Operation. Identify and reduce NVA (non-value added) activities. Conduct RIE s (Rapid Improvement Events) to improve QHSE & Productivity. Generate and maintain Engineering Database (Bill of Materials, Layouts & Routings & drawings) Support Factory and Warehouse Operations in implementing 5S standards. Complete monthly audits site wide and assist in co-ordinating further improvements. Get involved with creating Standard Operating Procedures, One Point Lessons and any Work instructions required, NPI & Scrap Reduction. The ideal Lean Graduate Engineer will have: - An understanding of Lean Thinking and Lean Leadership Your role will be to develop as a leader to ensure the safety of all processes implemented and support with the day to day running of the department/division Be able to receive and act on instruction, guidance and direction from others, together with performing effectively and collaboratively with various stakeholders Possess great communication skills Experience working with a Lean Operating Model / Production System desirable, although not essential Training As a family company we believe in training and investing in our employees.
