What will the apprentice be doing?

As a Construction Design and Build Co-ordinator you will be
  • Assisting managers and designers with the co-ordination of construction projects
  • Assisting with the control of costs during a construction project
  • Assist with the selection and supervision of specialist contractors
  • Contribute to the mitigation of disputes using accurate records
  • Contributing to project review meetings and assist with the implementation of agreed actions.
  • Supporting the administration and reporting of projects, and general office duties.
  • To attend day release and fully participate in their apprenticeship and taking responsibility for aspects of their ongoing training and professional development and for the collection of evidence in support of this.

  • Be a highly motivated individual with initiative, self-confidence, with the drive and ability to work under their own direction and within a team of professionals
  • To have a "can do" attitude and approach to work, being punctual and reliable and able to focus on the requirements of the role
  • Demonstrate the ability to work calmly under pressure and to agreed deadlines
  • Organisational skills are essential to ensure that high standards and the good reputation of their employer are upheld.
  • Ability to prioritise work and simultaneously manage multiple tasks

  • Day release at Nottingham College
