Working across all departments, the successful apprentice will collect and analyse data to help the company to understand and improve their chemical and electrical processes. This will involve extensive research, observation and testing involving a wide range of metal products, machines, surface areas and densities. There is a lot to learn.

This is a Higher Apprenticeship (Level 4 & 5) starting in September 2017. The employer is looking for someone to test and improve their chemical and electrical processes.

Requirements and prospects Desired skills

Candidates must have a keen interest in chemistry or physics.

Personal qualities

They must be a problem solver with good communication skills and a strong work ethic. The employer is looking for someone with the right attitude who will adhere to health & safety procedures at all times.

Qualifications required

They must have (or be predicted to have) 280 UCAS points including A-Level Maths.

The entry requirement for the Higher Apprenticeship is 280 UCAS points, e.g. grades BBC at A-Level or DMM at BTEC. You must have at least Grade C in GCSE Maths and English.
