Control Technical Support pathway - Whitley, Gaydon.

Control Technical Support Engineers are responsible for the design, installation and commissioning of the buildings and assembly facilities that we use to manufacture future products. Your skill set will ensure that any breakdowns that occur are kept to a minimum and that any issues are rapidly and permanently resolved.

As an apprentice on this pathway, you will work in the Engineering Operations (EO) function. EO underpins technical innovation and product delivery with engineering expertise, tools and processes, and specialist technical support to create our world-class products.Along the way, you will learn all about Programmable Logic Controller software and the successful operation of robots, whilst gaining knowledge of control specifications and manufacturing standards.

Notably, you will focus on control processes that use sensors as an input while testing, planning, installing, monitoring and maintaining control systems as required. You will also ensure that all instruments used with the engineering labs are calibrated. This is a vital workstream due to the increased quantity of rigs to be installed in the next five years in engineering labs.
