What will the apprentice be doing?

We are looking for a Digital & Technology Solutions Professional Apprentice to join our growing Bridge and Civil Structures team.

From your first day you will join a growing community of engineers, technician and business analysts, where everyone is supported in their career path.
  • You will help us to deliver effective and professional services for a range of digital projects, focussed on the built environment and professional services for both Arup and our high-profile clients.
  • You will have an opportunity to develop both your front and back-end skillset as well as project management and delivery.
  • The code you write has the potential to have a real-world impact supporting Arup's projects and Goals.
  • While you will have responsibility from day one, we will give you the chance to take on more as you progress and broaden your skills. You will be supported by experienced members of the team as well as graduates who have recently completed their own Digital apprenticeship.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

As part of your apprenticeship, you'll study towards the Level 6 qualification in Digital & Technology Solutions Professional - Computer Science at the University of Leeds.

You'll study at a local partner college on day release and combine this experience with real responsibilities in the workplace.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

When joining us as one of our apprentices, you'll enjoy the opportunity to study for a paid, professionally recognised qualification in a discipline that will help you further your career.

Throughout your apprenticeship, you'll have access to our online network. You'll also take internal courses. These cover technical aspects of the business, such as software, but also vital 'soft' skills such as report writing and working effectively.
