What will the apprentice be doing?
At least a year's experience working in an accountancy practice including bookkeeping is essential. On-the-job training will be given although experience using Sage, and some basic accounts preparation, might be considered useful.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Level 4 Professional accounting or taxation technician standard.
The instructor led, weekly, classroom training will take you through all of the AAT Level 4 curriculum. You will be provided with books and online tools to allow further training. A full training schedule is provided upon a confirmed start date; however training is typical 1 day per week.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
There is the opportunity to progress to a more senior level with the firm and a career within accountancy.

- Monitoring and maintaining deadlines
- Preparing letters and invoices from templates
- Chasing information and payments from clients
- General administrative tasks e.g. post, filing, scanning, uploading accounts, maintaining deadlines
