About the apprenticeship
Duties
Duties will include learning the skills and methods needed to complete your electrical apprenticeship. You will have involvement with electrical maintenance and installation to eventual inspection and testing as experience develops towards level 3. You will have a responsibility to adhere to and uphold health & safety obligations at all times, being aware of potential risks and acting in a sensible manner. Whilst in full-time employment you will undertake the following qualifications:
NVQ Diploma in Engineering Maintenance and Installation
VRQ Diploma in Engineering Technology
Essential Skills in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy
Additional information
Before applying for this position please ensure you are able to travel to and from the place of employment in Neath and to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a week. You will be employed full-time as an Apprentice Electrician by this company based in Neath. You will be enrolled onto a level 2 foundation apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering.

Skills
Must be willing to learn.
Basic GCSEs essential.
Previous experience either as study or a hobby desirable but not essential.
Punctual and reliable.
Have a real passion for the industry and desire to qualify.
Must be able to work with others.
Full driving licence essential.
Must be prepared to travel to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a week for mandatory off-the-job training.
Qualifications
GCSE in Maths at grade C or above or equivalent.
