Apprentice Information Analyst - National Minimum wage
The post-holder will contribute to the development of a performance-focused culture where safety, effectiveness and patient experience are consistently delivered through the provision of high-quality performance information, analytical interpretation, benchmarking, forecasting and intelligent modelling. This role will support the Clinical and Operational Leads by providing timely, accurate and relevant information that enables effective decision making and performance monitoring of services provided
Main duties of the job
Provide support in the provision of management information for the Medicine, Urgent Care, Diagnostics and Community Division, that enables robust performance management, monitoring and where necessary restorative action.
Ensure national data requirements are met and provide support to the Operational Intelligence lead, in the development of new national and local reporting requirements.
Support the implementation and development of reports and dashboards to users' specifications to deliver bespoke performance information and reporting to all relevant departments of the Trust.
The post holder will provide and receive complex and sensitive information, from which evidence-based analysis will be undertaken.
Use statistical methods to analyse both Trust data and comparative benchmark data from across the NHS to produce meaningful intelligence on which evidence-based decisions can be made.

To have a solid understanding of Urgent Care, Medicine, Diagnostic and Community datasets, and to interpret and resolve complex statistical information problems.
Regularly undertake audits to support service development, eg audits of information outputs from systems and audits of data quality to ensure all information outputs of the Data Warehouse are accurate, fit-for-purpose, delivered to time and follow the agreed development methodology with full written documentation.
Take an active role in maintaining the accuracy and data quality of performance information within the returns to the Department of Health and other external NHS bodies.Ensure that directorate staff have the necessary information to support effective decision-making and that the information they receive is accurate, timely and fit-for-purpose.
Monitor and report on directorates performance in achieving theirs and the Trusts objectives and communicate performance information to directorate representatives at the appropriate forums.
Undertake ad-hoc information requests: liaising and negotiating with internal and external customers about requirements and timescales; and to respond to those ad-hoc requests for information.
Maintain knowledge of NHS data standards and their application in all key Trust systems so as to advise on system suitability for analysis and modelling purposes, with particular reference to data quality; liaising with relevant internal and external contacts to resolve problems.
Monitor and report on Trust performance, analysing emerging trends, and providing relevant management information to the Service leads.
Contribute to the development and maintenance of automated reports: creating and maintaining datasets necessary to support effective deployment and development.
Plan and carry out all analysis to agreed quality standards and timescales.
Ensure that patient confidentiality is respected by adhering to documented procedures that support the Caldicott principles and the Data Protection Act.
