Things to consider
5 GCSE's at Grade 4/C or above in Maths, English Language, Science and two other subjects. A levels - 1 must be Maths or Physics at Grade C, 2 other A levels any subject with a total of 112 UCAS points OR Engineering based Btec Level 3 extended diploma to equate to a total of 112 UCAS points
- In Year 1, you'll complete an introduction to manufacturing in our brand-new Nuclear Skills Academy.
- The course will provide you with basic engineering skills in turning, milling, sheet metal and welding. In addition to this, you will start your BEng degree studying modules that will prepare you to start working in industry in your second year.
- For the rest of the programme, you'll continue your degree while working in Rolls-Royce Submarines.
- You'll complete placements across different parts of the engineering lifecycle, giving you the opportunity to work in both engineering and manufacturing and in service environments.
- These placements will be essential for you to gain experience and aid in the development of your fundamental knowledge of engineering.
