About the apprenticeship
Duties
Duties will include learning how to safely perform maintenance, replacement and servicing on light vehicles e.g. cars/bikes. You will have involvement with advanced tasks and eventual pre-MOT checks as experience develops via apprenticeship. Other duties will be allocated as appropriate including general housekeeping. Whilst in full-time employment you will undertake the following qualifications:
VCQ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Competence (7270 series)
VRQ Diploma in Motor Vehicle Maintenance & Repair Principles (7290 series)
Essential Skills in Application of Number, Communication and Digital Literacy
Additional information
Before applying for this position please ensure you are able to travel to and from the place of employment in Cowbridge and to the XR Training Centre in Pyle once a week. You will be employed full-time as an apprentice by this company based in Cowbridge. You will be enrolled onto a level 2 foundation apprenticeship in Motor Vehicle Maintenance.

Skills
Driving licence desirable as no public transport routes nearby premises
Must be keen to pursue a career in the industry
Punctual and reliable
Prior experience as a hobby or formal studying is an advantage
Able to work as part of a team
Must be prepared to travel once a week to Pyle for off-the-job training as a mandatory requirement of the apprenticeship
Must beable to follow instructions
Must be keen to qualify and gain recognised qualifications
Qualifications
No minimum grade requirements
