Job Details
The apprentice will be required to provide a comprehensive administrative support service to the Personal Assistant to Head Nurse Education, Post Registration PEF and administrative support to the Nurse Education Team.
The post holder will be required to demonstrate a significant level of initiative in organising his/her own workload, and in taking decisions and action, some of which will be without the immediate advice of Personal Assistant to Head of Nursing - Education
An Apprentice is expected to expand and broaden their skills and abilities. Nonetheless, they must operate at all times under the direct supervision of a senior member of staff, unless operating according to agreed procedures that have been approved by the department.

Main duties of the job
To work closely and assist with the education team to promote a positive working environment which is dedicated to delivering high standards of education and training to students and staff at the trust in an efficient and effective manner. To deal with telephone enquiries, booking courses and handling queries of a complex nature. Liaise with departments regarding training requirements and keep accurate documentation and record keeping. To attend and take minutes of meetings as required.

Liaise professionally with all departments and visitors to the department including external partners regarding student placements. To ensure all information and messages received are communicated efficiently and accurately. To maintain effective communication systems within the department

To produce accurate and high quality type written material, with a low rate of error using a word processor/computer.

To effectively time manage and prioritise workload by managing own diary
and meeting deadlines to ensure service delivery is maintained.

To be responsible for ordering stationary and monitoring and maintaining stock levels. To accurately create records and update information onto the computerised systems ( i.e. E series ordering) .

To accurately input data and update existing excel spread sheets for the Trusts mentor database and other pre-registration databases.
