What will the apprentice be doing?
Whilst training 'On The Job', you will have the opportunity to learn and use world class engineering systems and the latest technology in various departments in the world of automotive engineering. This will be coupled with day release University Attendance to compliment engineering theory.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Basic Engineering skills for use in the automotive sector.
On the Job training.
You will study towards a BEng Hons degree.
This degree apprenticeship gives apprentices the key skills and design techniques required for this field of engineering. The course covers product creation, product modification and product componentry. They support activities ranging on early concept feasibility, Computer Aided Design and other modelling, activities and stages through to final preparation for launch and customers. This includes working in concept studios, rapid prototyping, assembly, testing, validating and analysing performance. Typically apprentices work closely with suppliers and managers in bring new concepts to life or contributing to redesigns of existing products.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Chartered Engineering qualified status and guaranteed further employment on successful completion of the apprenticeship.
