What will the apprentice be doing?
  • Interpreting customers' requirements contained in tender opportunities that the company will receive
  • Measuring quantities required from customer tender documents and scheduling onto spreadsheets
  • Pricing schedules at the companies tender rates broken down elementally for analysis and management purposes
  • Submitting tenders and quotations to the company's' customers
  • Negotiation with customers once tenders are submitted to ensure a comprehensive, compliant specification has been adopted and priced
  • Assisting with general word processing, copying, filing and typical office duties
  • Carry out site surveys, visits and/or meetings alongside members of the commercial or construction team
  • Production of project information for use by the construction team
  • Management of project budgets and submission of project payment applications to the customer

  • Level 4 Quantity Surveying Technician Apprenticeship Standard
  • Level 4 qualification in Construction and Built Environment
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in maths and English
  • Institute of Apprenticeship Certificate

End-Point Assessment:
  • Online Portfolio
  • Online Test
  • Project
  • Professional Discussion

Professional Qualification, Apprentices without Level 2 English and mathematics will need to achieve this level prior to taking their EPA.
