What will the apprentice be doing?
As a data science degree apprentice in our Local Government team in Hertford, you will work in a team under the supervision of our Senior Analyst and mentored by a Data Scientist.
A typical work programme would include tasks such as: developing tools using software such as Python, study and application of statistical techniques, using data and analytical techniques to measure and monitor the impact of transport projects and presenting information and reports for our client.
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
You will attend Anglia Ruskin University to study a Data Science degree apprenticeship and gain a bachelors qualification, as well as completing your End Point Assessment with the education provider. You will also be enrolled onto a bespoke internal development programme to help you to attain the knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully achieve your apprenticeship, and support your career in Data Science.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
As this is a permanent position, after gaining your degree, WSP will continue to be committed to your learning and development throughout your career with us. You will have the opportunity to work towards gaining Chartered status with your chosen institution, as well as the opportunity to pursue your further study and training goals.
