What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
Apprentices without level 2 English and maths will need to achieve this level prior to taking theEnd-Point Assessment. For those with an education, health and care plan or a legacy statement, the apprenticeship's English and maths minimum requirement is Entry Level 3.
What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?
Upon completion of the programme you will have attained the skills and knowledge to start your career with Ibstock Group as an Assistant Technical Manager or Production Team Leader at one of our factories.

Qualifications
A Level or equivalent Maths, Science or Engineering (Grade BBC / Distinction Merit Merit) Essential
- Sampling/testing, and analysis of all raw materials and finished product
- Carry out quality, environmental and energy measurements/checks
- Collation, processing and analysing key performance data across the manufacturing process
- Assist in the development of Safe Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments
- Analysing complaints from our customers
What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?
- Level 6 Materials Science Technologist apprenticeship standard:
- The apprentice will study part-time towards a BEng (Hons) Materials Technology qualification in partnership with Sheffield Hallam University over 4 years
