What will the apprentice be doing?

As a Civil Engineering Apprentice in our Water Asset Management team one day can be completely different to the next. There's no such thing as a typical day at WSP. Your role will be varied and your learning will be fast paced. You will have the opportunity to learn new skills using specialist software suited to the area of the business you are working in. You may be involved with taking concepts and ideas from architects or engineers and creating software drawings and designs.

What training will the apprentice take and what qualification will the apprentice get at the end?

You will attend the Kingston University to study a Civil Engineering degree apprenticeship (Level 6) and gain a bachelors qualification, as well as completing your End Point Assessment (and your Incorporated Engineer status) with the Institution of Civil Engineers. You will also be enrolled onto a bespoke internal development programme to help you to attain the knowledge, skills and behaviours to successfully achieve your apprenticeship, and support your career in Civil Engineering.

What is the expected career progression after this apprenticeship?

As this is a permanent position, after gaining your degree, WSP will continue to be committed to your learning and development throughout your career with us.
